'Dragon Age: Inquisition': Free DLCs released

Bioware

Hardcore players of "Dragon Age: Inquisition" will have a surprise waiting for them this May, as publisher Electronic Arts and developer Bioware revealed that two new free expansion packs will be coming to the game.

On May 5, the first of the two, dubbed as the "Black Emporium" expansion pack, will be bringing new content to the title. According to Bioware, the pack will add a new shopping destination for players, where they can "find a curious collection of items — some for sale, some for free, and ranging from the mundane to the mysterious."

Aside from new content, players who will get the expansion using a season pass can also receive a Mabari war hound. The pack will also introduce the Mirror of Transformation item, and this artifact can allow players to change their appearance in-game.

The second DLC, also to be released on May 5, is dubbed as the "Dragonslayer" expansion pack, where three new characters will be added as companions. There is a new Avvar warrior named Skywatcher, and Zither the Virtuoso. In addition, the warrior Isabela will also be making a return.

The new expansion will also allow players to craft a new item called Dragon's Call, used to summon dragons. Aside from the new item, there will also be a new Ferelden castle to be made available for exploration.

Both DLCs will come out for free across all platforms.

Meanwhile, "Jaws of Hakkon," the major DLC for "Dragon Age: Inquisition," finally gets the much-awaited release date for other consoles. According to the announcement by Bioware, the DLC expansion will be made available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Xbox 360 on May 26.

"Jaws of Hakkon" was first introduced as a timed exclusive release for the Xbox One and PC.
