'Friday the 13th' gameplay news: Jason V and new map added

Jason Vorhees Part 5 is back, and this time, he brings with him help instead of terror, as the newest update for "Friday the 13th" adds new content and fixes for the multiplayer game.

Jason has been reportedly buffed as well, meaning he will be a much more terrifying killing machine in the horror game. This version of Jason will also be taken directly from his fifth iteration named Jason Vorhees 5 or Jason V from the fifth movie named "Friday the 13th: A New Beginning."

As such, Jason V will need a new locale to prowl and sneak in, and this comes in the form of the newly-added Pinehurst map. With that said, Jason V and Pinehurst map will not have a level requirement and will be readily available for players of all skill thresholds. It can even be played offline with artificial intelligence (AI) bots should players not have internet access or want to practice first before playing with real people.

With that said, Jason V will also have access to three grab kills, namely the Hedge Trimmer, Last Breath, and You're So Vein, giving him a rather stylish variety for violently executing hapless teenagers. Apart from those three, another grab kill named Rugby Player will also be available for 2500 CP once the players have unlocked it at level 108.

Players will also be having a difficult time escaping and fighting off Jason V since the number of Pocket Knives and Medical Sprays that spawn in each map has been reduced and made more sparse. This should make things a lot more nerve-wracking, and players will have to rely on stealth in order to get through the map alive.

While Jason's movement speed and grab range have been slightly increased and was given two additional throwing knives, the counselors have been weakened, on the other hand. As for the full list of bug fixes, players can view them here before entering the game so they can know what to expect.
