With just two weeks before Halloween, the brains behind the video game "Friday the 13th: The Game" released a downloadable content (DLC) that will make the gaming experience more fun and enjoyable. Not only this, gamers and fans will get to enjoy the weekend event recently announced as well.

The update, which came before Friday the 13th, boast of an additional map, the new Jason, and a new counselor. The developer and publisher of the horror survival game, Illfonic and Gun Media, respectively, announced that a new Jason, based on part 4 of the movies, comes with his own moves and theme music. Jason has Level 44 requirement.

Basically, Jarvis house map was adapted from the final of the movie as well. It will be difficult to find one's way around because this is the largest map of the game as of now. The house across Jarvis' was also part of the update and explorable houses seemed very detailed. Counselor Mitch Floyd will be unlocked after finishing Level 24.

Additional features of this update include a rainy weather for the players to enjoy. The rain weather feature could be turned on and off and could also be used in any map. Counselors will be able to push other counselors as well without affecting Jason. Of course, this patch comes with bug fixes.

Gamers were also treated for a weekend of their life. The double XP event commenced on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. EDT and will end on Monday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. EDT. Taking advantage of this offering will enable the players to earn the experience points they need.

The game is available to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. "Friday the 13th: The Game" is based on the popular "Friday the 13th" movie franchise.
