"Frozen 2" is arguably one of the most highly anticipated animated films given the massive success of the first film, which broke over $1 Billion when it released in theaters in 2013. According to actress Kristen Bell, who voices Princess Anna, the sequel is most likely going to be delayed and won't launch in theaters until 2018.

Speaking to Fab Newz, the actress explained that the behind the film such as the direcors and writers are taking their time to make sure they get it done perfectly. She further explains that the script is going through rewriters and development as they are working on making sure that the story of "Frozen 2" is exactly the story they want told.

"The story is great, and they exude quality," the actress explained. "They wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging, and I think they found it."

According to the report, there are also rumors that one of the reasons for the film's delay is due to the work needed to make the soundtrack. One of the key reasons for the success of "Frozen" was its award-winning music, particularly for songs such as "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" and "Let It Go."

Following up the success of the first movie's soundtrack would reasonably be very difficult to do and it would take time for the studios to create music that is just as iconic if not better. It is undetermined at this point if the voice actors and the singers have already had a preview of the music that may be included in "Frozen 2."

Due to the long development the report points out that the movie may be pushed back as far as 2018. Disney has not yet made any comment regarding the rumor and has yet to announce an official release date for "Frozen 2."
