Disney Films finally revealed the official release date of "Frozen 2."

The highly anticipated sequel of the blockbuster hit musical animated series is slated to come out on Nov. 27, 2019. This means fans who are excited to see the continuation of the story of sisters Anna and Elsa will still have to wait for two more years before they can see them return on screen.

The release date of "Frozen 2" will also coincide with the sixth anniversary of the original film, since it also came out in Nov. 27, 2013.

Lead stars Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel both expressed their excitement over the release date announcement of the "Frozen" sequel in their respective social media accounts. Bell lent her voice to the carefree and daring Princess Anna, while Menzel voiced the character of the Arendelle queen and Anna's older sister Elsa. The two are expected to team up once again in "Frozen 2."

However, there are no reports yet if the upcoming sequel will introduce more characters and new cast members.

Aside from being a box-office hit, the original "Frozen" movie garnered two Oscar Awards in 2014, including Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for its theme "Let It Go." It also won Best Animated Feature Film from Golden Globe Awards during the same year, and the Best Song Written for Visual Media and Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media from the Grammy's.

The film outfit also reveals the release dates for its other much-awaited films, including the live-action version of "Mulan" that will come out on Nov. 2, 2018, "Mary Poppins Returns" on Dec. 25, 2018, "Toy Story 4" on June 21, 2019, and the live-action adaptation of "The Lion King" on July 19, 2019, among others.

Disney also reveals that it will also release several untitled films until 2021. However, details about the upcoming movies remain under wraps.
