After all the numerous plot rumors attached to "Frozen 2," the highly anticipated animated movie sequel has yet to start its production as it has been learned that its script is not even done yet. Hence, it goes without saying that the release of "Frozen 2" cannot be expected anytime soon.

Having raked in more than a billion dollars for Disney when it arrived in 2013, there is no denying that "Frozen" is the biggest animated movie blockbuster the studio has ever produced. Hence, it is but understandable why, for the first time ever, the studio is producing a sequel for its animated movie.

"Walt Disney has never made a sequel. They've made Pixar sequels, but they've never made Disney sequels, only straight to DVD... so, it's a very big thing for them to do. They never thought they would...One thing I like about the studio is actually they want the movie to be right. They just don't release things. They wait until it's right...until it's captivating, until it's relevant, passionate," Kristin Bell (voice of Anna) said in an interview with Collider recently.

Since the announcement of "Frozen 2" in March 2015, there has been numerous speculations on what its possible storyline will be. However, despite the numerous plot rumors attached to "Frozen 2," it has been learned that the script for the movie is not even done yet as confirmed by its producer, Peter Del Vecho.

"We're in the development writing process and are very excited by it," Del Vecho told Entertainment Weekly last month.

In the same interview, Del Vecho also teased "Frozen" fans of what they can expect from the movie. While the producer skipped the details, he said that "Frozen 2" will give fans a better understanding of some of the mysteries in its would-be predecessor.

"Now that we've been involved in it for a while. What's exciting is it feels like it builds on the first movie. You understand things better in the first movie after you've seen the sequel," Del Vacho said.

While "Frozen 2" has yet to officially begin its production, it is suspected that it will arrive in 2019. However, without any official announcement from Disney, this has to be taken with a grain of salt for now.
