Of all the flagship products that Samsung has under its belt, one of the most promising and popular among its fans is the Galaxy Note series. With the hype on the recently-launched Galaxy S6 already waning, fans are now setting their eyes on details regarding the next Galaxy Note. 

According to rumors, the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 will be released in the middle of the year, with some observers saying that the launch will be in July. This speculation is substantiated with a recent report from Korea-based WhoWired. According to the site, the traditional September or October release of new flagship products for Samsung is being moved to an earlier July date, since the new Note 5's development was finished earlier than expected. In addition, the early release is said to coincide Samsung's impending launch of Samsung Pay, the company's mobile money settlement service. With the launch of the two, Samsung allegedly hopes to curb the tide brought by the pairing of the Apple Watch and Apple Pay, and get ahead of Apple's new iPhone. 

However, it seems that the July date will remain as an unfounded speculation. 

According to news site Yibada, Samsung flat out denies that the Galaxy Note 5 will come out in the middle of the year. Speaking to the press, Samsung chief Shin Jong-kyun said that the company is not looking to rush development of one of its flagship products and launch early just to get a head start on Apple. 

Although the top Samsung boss did not give any specifics on when fans can expect from the new Galaxy Note, observers say that if the launch would be based on previous releases of Samsung products, the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to make an appearance at this year's IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin, which is in September.
