Samsung is reportedly set to launch the Galaxy S7 at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) taking place in Barcelona, Spain.

With the event scheduled to get underway starting Feb. 22, now is the time to learn more about the rumored features of Samsung's latest smartphone.

First off, according to The Indian Express, the Galaxy S7 is expected to feature a 3D Touch display that is somewhat similar to the one that people can find on the iPhone 6S.

The Galaxy S7's 3D Touch feature is expected to function similarly to the one found in the iPhone 6S, so it should not be all that foreign to smartphone users.

The latest rumors also suggest that the Galaxy S7 could have a new feature that is similar to the Live Photos offering seen in some Apple phones.

According to a source spoken to by Android Geeks, the new feature is still in development, although it could be featured in the Galaxy S7 right from day one. If the new feature is still not ready by the target launch date, then Samsung could still offer it later on as part of a software update.

Samsung is also reportedly deciding on what name they can bestow on the new feature, with options such as Timeless Photo and Vivid Photo reportedly being on the table.

Earlier rumors have also suggested that Samsung will be bringing back the microSD slot for the Galaxy S7.

The absence of the microSD slot in Samsung's most recent offerings has not sat well with a lot of users, so the company could already be in the process of re-integrating the feature into the Galaxy S7.

The rumor mill has also suggested that the Galaxy S7 could be featuring new camera technology upon being launched, although similar to many rumors regarding the smartphone, Samsung has yet to confirm this change as well.

More news about the Galaxy S7 should be made available in the coming weeks.
