Samsung's Galaxy S7 could end up being more affordable than its predecessors.

According to analyst Pan Jiutang and as reported on by the Times of India, Samsung is reportedly considering a dramatic price cut for the Galaxy S7. It's not a small reduction either, as the company is reportedly set to make the launch day price of the new phone about 10 percent lower than that of the Galaxy S6.

Samsung's flagship devices have usually been on the more expensive end of the spectrum, but the price cut could make it more accessible to a larger segment of the population.

According to Motley Fool, if Samsung moves forward with their rumored plan to cut prices for the Galaxy S7, then that could serve to open up a whole new customer base for them. Android fans who previously never even considered getting a Samsung unit may be more open to rethinking that decision if the prices are more favorable. 

Samsung has yet to confirm rumors of a supposed price cut coming for the Galaxy S7.

In related news, Samsung's newest flagship offering will also reportedly feature liquid cooling.

Liquid cooling is not a foreign concept altogether, and some devices from Microsoft and Sony already make use of the technology, according to Tech Radar. The addition of a liquid cooling system to the Galaxy S7 could also make it possible for Samsung to introduce even more advanced and power-intensive components to the new phone.

Aside from liquid cooling, features such as an improved camera and the return of microSD support have also been mentioned as possibilities for the Galaxy S7.

Samsung's Galaxy S7 is also reportedly set to be released earlier than usual, with a January launch date having been mentioned for the upcoming flagship device.
