Actor Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, one of the central characters in the HBO series "Game of Thrones," has revealed his feelings about the season 8 script that he recently read through. The actor was emotional after going through the script of what would be the final season of the award-winning show.

Harrington sat down with "The One Show" host Alex Jones to talk about his reaction to the season 8 script. "I'm really emotional about [the end]," he admitted. "We had the read-through last week, in fact, so I know everything now. I cried at the end!"

The 30-year-old actor clarified that his being emotional was not because of any one particular scene, but as part of his reflection about his work on the series as a whole.

"It wasn't anything particular that happens," he added. "You have to remember, I've done eight years of it. I think, no-one really cares about [Game of Thrones] more than us."

Being one of the central characters in both the fantasy book series and the show, Harrington's Jon Snow has been part of "Game of Thrones" since 2011.

As the cast members get together to film the last season of the series, they would also have the opportunity to say goodbye to the colleagues that they have worked with for almost a decade.

"It's going to be to a strange year," said Harrington as he mulled the upcoming filming of season 8. "Saying goodbye to everyone, having your last scene with this person or having your last scene with that person."

Many of the "Game of Thrones" cast members have been spotted in or travelling to Belfast over the weekend, hinting that the production for the new season may be starting soon.

Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Missandei, and Liam Cunningham, who portrays Ser Davos Seaworth, were spotted watching a boxing match in the city.

A Twitter user shared that Gwendoline Christine, who plays Brienne of Tarth, and Jacob Anderson, who plays Grey Worm, were on her flight to Belfast. Kit Harrington himself was spotted in Belfast Airport over the weekend.
