"Game of Thrones" season 5 is nearing its end with episode 9, "The Dance of Dragons," on its way. Fans can recall that the penultimate episode is often the best and most climactic episode per season which is why there is a lot of anticipation for what the next episode has in store for viewers.

According to a report from the IBTimes, Jon Snow and the wildlings will be coming back to Castle Black after their skirmish with the Night's King and his legion of White Walkers and undead Wights. Fans of the book speculate that this may be the point where the Brothers of the Night's Watch betray their Lord Commander and stab Jon Snow.

In the books, Jon was left in the snow after he tried to lead a campaign to save Winterfell. In the show this never happened but the hatred the brothers hold against him is still present, especially now that he has recruited an army of wildlings, the very people that the Night's Watch has fought for centuries.

Also, according to the official synopsis, Arya Stark is going to encounter someone from her past. Seeing as Mace Tyrell is heading to Braavos to speak with a representative of the Iron Bank, Arya is most likely going to meet someone from King Tommen's court, and fans speculate it may be Petyr Baelish or one of the Kingsguard.

The report also reiterates that Cersei has not yet gone through the "Walk of Shame" where she is punished by walking down the streets of King's Landing naked and filthy. This might be the episode to depict this crucial scene which embodies Cersei Lannister's downfall.

Danaerys Targaryen is going to open the fighting pits in this episode, while Stannis will be facing a difficult decision, most likely regarding the life of his daughter Shireen and the fate of Winterfell.

"Game of Thrones" season 5 episode 9 airs this June 7.
