Game of Thrones season 4 episode 6HBO

"Game of Thrones" season 4, episode 8 will feature Tyrion Lannister's new champion who will fight for him in his trial.

According to the synopsis of the episode 8 entitled "The Mountain and the Viper", "[Episode 8- The Mountain and the Viper] unexpected visitors arrive in Mole's Town; Littlefinger's motives are questioned; Ramsay tries to prove himself to his father; Tyrion's fate is decided."

In the next episode, Tyrion's life will be decided in a "trial of combat" challenge after he was framed for the assassination of King Joeffrey by Petyr Baelish and Olenna Redwyne. However, Tyrion thought he no longer have someone to come to his defense after his brother Jamie Lannister can no longer represent his brother since he has lost his right hand in the battle.

Surprisingly, Oberyn Martell will come to Tyrion's defense. He will become his ally as they share the same enemy - Tyrion's father Tywin and Tyrion's sister Cersei. In the future episode, Oberyn put the blame to "The Mountain" for killing and raping sister Princess Elia and her children during Robert Baratheon's uprising at King's Landing several years ago.

Many took a liking to Oberyn Martell as his character is "dynamic, romantic, vengeful, and interesting," according to CarterMatt. Actor Pedro Pascal, playing the role of Oberyn, said "as far as what is upon us in the next episode, The Viper versus the Mountain, was one of the most challenging things I've ever done."

He was careful not to reveal teasers for the upcoming episode. Instead, he proclaimed that The Mountain really is as enormous of a man as you see on TV, and this is going to be quite a challenge. He also claimed that he would put his money on Oberyn.

HBO hit miniseries "Game of Thrones" will take a break this week and will be back on June 1.
