It is not often that bestselling writer George R. R. Martin drops hints about "Game of Thrones," the TV adaptation of his ever bloody book series, "A Song of Fire and Ice." But when he does, rest assured they are nothing but bombshells that will take everyone aback. The author notorious for killing fan-favorite characters like bolts from the blue recently dished out a big tip-off about the characters' fate in the HBO series. 

"People are going to die who don't die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy," Martin warned fans as he spoke to Showbiz411. "Everybody better be on their toes."

Martin added that the executive producers of the show David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are "even bloodier" than he is. The author is already good at shocking fans and killing off prominent characters. Now this has rubbed off on the executive producers of the show. 

If some characters are indeed facing their doom this season, fans already have the list of those nasty individuals in mind. Some may have been even imagining how these characters will meet their deaths, which are expected to be gruesome, at the least. First is the freakishly huge man, the biggest man in all of Westeros, Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane. Many also hope to see the mockingbird-donning master of coin, Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish, dead. The cruelty of the Lord of the Dreadfort and his equally malevolent bastard son Ramsay is getting into viewers so it would be nice for fans to have these two die a painful death. Lastly, the ill-tempered Lord Walder Frey should go, too. 

The author did not provide further details about the news as well as to what extent the series will follow the books, although the novelist as well as the executive producers of "Game of Thrones" claim that the ending is already set in stone. How to get there is another story. 

Season 5 of "Game of Thrones" will premiere on April 12.
