The fifth season of "Game of Thrones" may feature a time jump.

The show is based on the book series "A Song Of Ice And Fire." However, the production team of the TV adaptation occasionally takes the liberty to not follow the plot as narrated in the book.

For instance, a leaked photo published by Inquisitr shows Tyrion Lannister on the right hand of Daenerys Targaryen and her new husband, the Meereenese aristocrat Hizdahr zo Loraq.  

Followers of the show last saw Tyrion in season 4 escaping his death sentence and getting out of King's Landing with the help of Lord Varys.  In the books, after assassinating his father and escaping King's Landing, Tyrion sets off on a long and traumatic journey.  

The fact that the photo shows Daenerys already remarried and Tyrion in their house could mean that the new season will feature a time jump as it looks like some of the scenes in the book have been omitted or skipped.

Also, fans will remember that Ser Jorah was banished by Daenerys.  But in another photo, Ser Jorah appears to be a gladiator in Daenerys' court.

Aside from familiar characters making a comeback, fans can expect to see new actors in the cast of "Game of Thrones" season 5.  Among those said to be introduced is Alexander Siddig who will reportedly play the role of Doran Martell, Oberyn Martell's older brother and the ruler of Dorne.  Oberyn was brutally killed by the Mountain last season in Tyrion Lannister's trial by combat.

However, the production team has not confirmed the new roles to be introduced next season.  And of course, since it's "GoT," no one knows for sure which of the characters will meet their doom.  The cast and crew are currently in filming in Spain and various parts of Europe.

 "Game of Thrones" is due to come back on air in June 2015.
