The season 6 premiere of "Game of Thrones" is only three months away, and ahead of the new season, E! News spoke with series star Emilia Clarke at HBO's Golden Globes party. The star teased that viewers are in for more exciting twists and turns on the hit drama series.

"I can't really say much apart from you'll see the biggest moments on television that have ever existed," said Clarke.
The actress was asked about Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) fate, as what happened to the fan favorite in the season 5 finale still weighs on everyone's mind.

Back in the finale, it appeared as though Jon was left for dead after the Nights Watch took turns stabbing him, but last year, there were reports saying that Harington was seen filming some scenes for season 6 in North Ireland.

When asked whether Jon was dead or alive, the actress simply said, "It's going to be big."

And because the show is now going to be moving past George R.R. Martin's books, Clarke said that the cast is both "excited and nervous" about it and that "there's something for everyone."

It was previously reported that the HBO show will be overtaking the books as Martin has yet to publish "The Winds of Winter," which is the sixth book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. The author recently gave an update on the upcoming novel, and on his blog post earlier this month Martin said that the book is not finished.

"I am months away still [from finishing the book]…and that's if the writing goes well," said Martin. The author also confirmed that the book won't be published before the premiere of "Game of Thrones" in April and that the book "will be done when it's done."

Martin also said that he never thought that the series would catch up with the books, but it has.

"For years my readers have been ahead of the viewers. This year, for some things, the reverse will be true. How you want to handle that…hey, that's up to you," he said.

"Game of Thrones" returns on April 24 on HBO.
