When the penultimate season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" airs next year, one of the most anticipated storylines concerning the contenders for the Iron Throne is that of Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), who after the Battle of the Bastards successfully recovered Winterfell from Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). Jon Snow was also declared by his family's allies as "The King of the North."

Fans were further intrigued by the character's fate when his true parentage was finally revealed. It turned out that Jon — who was raised as the bastard son of Ned Stark (Sean Bean) — was actually his nephew and the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen, effectively making him Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) nephew as well.

Rumors suggest that in the upcoming season of the epic series, Jon's real name will be revealed after it was teased in the season 6 finale that Lyanna entrusted Ned with the name for her son. The report by Inquistr indicated that it could be Jaehaerys, which is also the name of two kings who ruled before the Mad King Aerys.

The report also suggested that the name could immediately legitimize Jon as an heir to the throne given his name and parentage.

Aside from the name, the report further stated that Rhaegar could have specifically seduced Lyanna in order to bear him "The Prince that was Promised," because his wife could no longer give him more children.

Meanwhile, more fan theories are circulating online about what will happen in season 7 after more photos were leaked from the set in Seville.

According to a report from Winter is Coming, several cast members have already started filming in the ruins of Italica, which will serve as the Dragonpit of King's Landing when the show returns.

Lena Headey, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (The Mountain), Anton Lesser (Qyburn), Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Conleth Hill (Varys), Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Kit Harington, and Rory McCann (The Hound/ Sandor Clegane) have been spotted on set.

With Cersei, Dany, and Jon Snow present at such a historical spot in King's Landing, it is expected that a confrontation of epic proportions will happen. It remains a mystery how Sandor was able to return to the capital, but a showdown between himself and his reanimated brother may prove to be a battle for the books as well.
