'Gears of War 4' news: Microsoft exec 'mind-blown' by game; possible release on PC teased

Xbox Official

"Gears of War 4" is one of the highly anticipated games for the Xbox One. Fans may have gotten a little bit more excited when Aaron Greenberg, the Marketing General Manager of Microsoft Game Studios, tweeted his initial reaction when he got to see the game.

"Gears of War 4" was apparently presented to several big guns of Microsoft to give them an idea about the game's progress. Rod Fergusson, studio head of game developer The Coalition, tweeted that Greenberg had witnessed some "Gears 4 gameplay."

Greenberbg's reply was, "Yes my mind was blown today thanks to @GearsViking trust me @GearsofWar 4 in VERY good hands. #BETAUPNEXT."

Of course, gaming fans became ecstatic, wishing they could also see the latest of their favorite game. They are also hoping that the upcoming installment will put back the action to the game, just like the "good o' days."

"Gears of War 4" is the fifth installment for the game. The original game, up until the fourth game, was developed by Epic Games; now it is in The Coalition's hands.

Sooner or later, fans will be able to get to feel "Gears of War 4" when the beta test starts.

Currently, the game is an exclusive for the Xbox One; however, rumors going around say that there is possibility of the game being ported to the PC. Several games are also included in the rumors such as "Forza Motorsport 6" and "Quantum Break," as the French gaming website Gameblog reported. Gamezone added "Scalebound" to the list.

The French gaming website had the opportunity to ask Greenberg about Microsoft's plans with its Xbox One and PC games. The marketing head said, "When you think of something like 'Quantum Break,' being able to offer the game on both Xbox One and Windows 10 helps Remedy and that helps us. This is the vision."

Microsoft and The Coalition have been good at keeping "Gears of War 4" low-key. No other details are available right now.

"Gears of War 4" is expected to arrive this fall.
