Players who will be opting to get the physical copies of "Gears of War 4" will have to set aside an additional 11 GB worth of space. This is for the day-one patch of the game when it is released on Oct. 11.

Rod Fergusson, game director from The Coalition, posted the reminder on Twitter the other day. Fergusson said, "To clarify - if digital, no day one patch since all 54.6 gigs are downloaded. If physical disk then there will be 11 gig download."

The disc can only hold up to 46 GB, and the game file is 54.6 GB for the Xbox One. Digital downloads for the console will get it all on the release date. The PC version is bigger by 20 GB, with a total file size of 73.33 GB, WCCFTech reported.

The studio also urges PC fans to download the latest Windows 10 Update that was released last Sept. 29 with the file name, KB3194496. Their Windows should show Version 1607, OS Build 14393.222, if not, instructions are provided by The Coalition. The update must be performed before pre-downloading the game since it will fix the issue that could restart the download process.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is currently offering two new "Gears of War 4" Xbox One S bundles. The first one has a 1 TB hard drive, a wireless controller, and a digital copy of the game. It comes in white, and it is priced at US$349. The second offering has a 500 GB hard disc drive, a wireless controller, and it will come in a deep blue color. This is priced at US$299.

U.S. residents who will choose the deep blue edition will have a physical copy of the game. On the other hand, residents in Australia, where the promo is offered, will have a digital copy.

As an added bonus for a limited time, Microsoft is throwing in the entire "Gears of War" collection at no extra charge.

"Gears of War 4" will have a worldwide release on Oct. 11 for the Xbox One and Windows PC. Early access to the game starts on Oct. 7.
