'General Hospital' spoilers: is Cassandra Irina Cassadine? Franco, Liz still reeling over Jason

Secrets never stay secret for long, especially in Port Charles. "General Hospital" spoilers reveal that Cassandra (Jessica Tuck) may not be who everyone thinks she is.

Cassandra has been revealed to not only have some history with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), but it is becoming apparent that she has another kind of connection to the Cassadine family.

Cassandra may actually be, Irina Cassadine (then played by Alyshia Ochse), the daughter of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) who was presumed dead. She was last seen in 2012, when Helena supposedly had her killed for betraying her for a Spencer, specifically Ethan (Nathan Parsons).

Fans remember when Ethan served as caretaker of the Wyndemere Castle. He was plagued by the woman in white. When he got to know her, she appeared to have amnesia and believed that her name was Cassandra. She was trained as an assassin to do Helena's work, but when she refused to kill Ethan, Helena had her men get rid of her.

The spoilers suggest that Irina survived the shooting and that in order to live her life, she had to undergo plastic surgery. Cassandra does look very similar to Helena after all. Fans also know that Valentin had to undergo reconstructive surgery for his scoliosis, so it is possible that the two of them met at the clinic and formed a partnership. It is a partnership that does make sense, seeing as both of them hate Helena.

Valentin hates her for treating him badly and Irina hates Helena because she plotted and attempted to kill her. Now that Cassandra has gotten in touch with Valentin, it is apparent that they have a close relationship. She tells him that they have a lot to talk about and it is of a "mutual interest," which only suggests that she is coming to Port Charles.

Elsewhere, "General Hospital" spoilers reveal that Liz (Rebecca Herbst) will now be kept in the loop about the twin thing. She will start to be suspicious of Franco (Roger Howarth), and he on the other hand, will feel the weight of the guilt and pressure on his shoulders. Franco will eventually reveal the truth to her.

It seems that Franco will get to it next week as well. He will reveal that his theory was partly correct. There is a twin, but the boy in the photo is Jason's (Billy Miller) brother. Liz will immediately want to let Jason know about Drew. She will insist that Jason has to hear about this.

Franco, on the other hand, will think that it is not the best idea. It will not change anything especially since Drew supposedly died. He will say that he does not have a good feeling about this. He does not want to stir trouble lately and he will beg Liz to keep quiet about it, to which she will ultimately agree on. Yet, this also means that Liz will feel the guilt on her shoulders as well. Neither one of them feel right about keeping Jason in the dark about this, nor will they eventually crack down the line.

As Franco gets even more stressed about it, he will start having very powerful nightmares. He will be haunted by old memories and regrets. He might remember something that does not really fit with what Betsy (Deborah Strang) claims. Franco may even dream about Drew being dragged away or something similar. It will make him wonder if Drew really died.

Nevertheless, this secret is taking a toll on him. His nightmares will most likely continue the longer he keeps mum.

"General Hospital" airs Mondays to Fridays at 2 p.m. EDT on ABC.
