Last week's speculation of the upcoming events in ABC network's "General Hospital" (GH) came true as it was heavily rumored that a popular character would meet his demise at the hands of the fiendish Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), but not many expected that Faison himself would be suffering the same fate.

Nathan (Ryan Paevey) was revealed to be the person who would die after sustaining a gunshot wound from Faison (Anders Hove), who appeared to have fired his gun by surprise when he heard the elevator doors behind him open. Not showing any hint of shock or remorse from shooting his own son, he soon fled the scene, leaving Maxie (Kirsten Storms) to fend for Nathan. They still manage to take him to the hospital but would later face complications and eventually be pronounced dead.

Spoilers for the next two weeks reveal that Nathan will be laid to rest. The funeral will be shown in the coming episodes and it's expected to be far from peaceful.

Other General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Peter (Wes Ramsey) could have another huge story coming up. Anna (Finola Hughes) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) finally have words over Heinrik's pent-up guilt. She suggests that Heinrik (for those who have only recently followed GH, Heinrik is Peter's birth name as Anna and Faison's son) should not have to be burdened with any of his father's wrongdoings, as she firmly believes that he was simply being manipulated by Faison.

Anna does not know that Heinrik is going around as "Peter" and will try to find out the false name that he is using. She is going to try and reach her son before Sonny and Jason (Steve Burton) do, as she fears for her son's life.

Nathan's friends, family members and coworkers will all be present for his funeral, which is speculated to be aired this Friday.

With the loss of Nathan, fans can expect this week's GH to be an emotionally charged one.
