'General Hospital' sees the saga of two Jasons continue as Griffin tells Ava how he really feels

Just when the storm has blown over, another surprise is about to drop. "General Hospital" spoilers reveal that Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Billy Miller) will now be able to have some peace and quiet in their lives.

After everything they have been through, they hope to settle down and just enjoy being together with their children. However, little do they know, another shocker is about to come down on them.

Fans know that Patient 6 (Steve Burton) has been trying his hardest to return to Port Charles. There is a big possibility that he will show up and will claim to be the Jason, so this means another whirlwind for Sam. She just recently mentioned an idea of throwing Jason a welcome home party. Sam was also trying to find out Dr. Bensch's (James DePaiva) relationship status, so inviting him to the party seemed like a convenient path to get that info.

Yet, the welcome home party may be a way of bringing Steve Burton's character back into the fold. Patient 6 might spy on the celebration and this could pose as an important part of the plot. The rest of the Port Charles characters would unwittingly welcome the wrong Jason home.

Obviously, Patient 6 will have to decide whether to barge in on the festivities or simply back off. He will most likely lurk around for a week or so. Then again, he could also disrupt the party and tell the impostor to get out. It really depends on Patient 6's thinking when he comes back into the mix.

Nevertheless, Patient 6's arrival at Port Charles will shake up the town. He may have a few people who have his back on this one too. Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright), in particular, have said that they prefer the old Jason. The two of them have been missing him as of late. Monica (Leslie Charlesson), Liz (Rebecca Herbst), and Jake (Hudson West) could also easily take his side too. Michael (Chad Duell) also happens to be closer to the old Jason, and Franco's (Roger Howarth) twin revelation will certainly bring up questions, but Burton's character will likely have a story to back up the claims.

The evidence will most likely point in his direction. However, Sam will still find difficulty in believing that the current Jason is not Jason at all. It is clear that she feels a strong connection to him. Will Sam believe Patient 6's tale? That remains to be seen.

Elsewhere in Port Charles, spoilers for Thursday's episode of "General Hospital" indicate that Ava (Maura West) will get Griffin (Matt Cohen) to open up to her. She is grateful that he came to rescue her, but she is also curious as to why. Griffin wanted to apologize for everything that happened between them, but an apology is not the only reason why he showed up.

Griffin cares about her and he is sure to say so, but he is not ready to declare his love for her, but could admit his complicated feelings for her. Knowing that Ava means something to him is enough, at least for now. There is a chance that romance could happen between the two of them down the road. It is easy to see that Griffin and Ava have a connection.

"General Hospital" airs Mondays to Fridays at 2 p.m. EDT on ABC.
