General Motors has unveiled the brand new 2019 Corvette ZR1, which is set to be the most powerful Corvette to ever be built.

The 2019 Corvette ZR1 is the fourth generation of ZR1 and is based on the seventh generation Corvette. Although many people consider the Corvette as a relatively accessible sports car, General Motors refers to the Corvette ZR1 as a supercar. The new car sports a 755-horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged engine. According to the automaker, the Corvette ZR1 can reach a top speed of 210 miles per hour.

Its power output places it above the Lamborghini Aventador, the Ferrari 488 GTB or the exotic Ford GT. The Corvette ZR1 can come with a seven-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission. This marks the first generation of ZR1 to include an automatic transmission option.

The ZR1 also has the look of a supercar, with a large opening in the center of the hood to allow space for its supercharger and its cooling system. The new car also features a number of aerodynamic design elements to aid in its high speed capabilities. Buyers can choose from two variations of rear wings. On the front, the car also has a wing running across the width of the car under the grill. This helps push the nose of the car toward the ground when it is running at very high speeds.

While the standard low wing will allow the car to reach its top speed, consumers may also opt for an optional high wing that can be installed in the rear of the car. According to General Motor's calculations, the high wing will exert nearly a ton of push down force on the rear of the car at high speeds.

It has not been announced how much the 2019 Corvette ZR1 will cost, but it is not expected to come cheap, especially since only two or three thousand units of the new car will be built each year.
