The George Zimmerman trial is heading towards its climax, and the defense team is scheduled on Tuesday to continue making its case and bringing out further testimonies in the hope of establishing reasonable doubt in the murder case against Zimmerman.

Jurors on Tuesday are set to hear more from Defense witnesses, and especially about how 17-year-old Trayvon Martin had marijuana in his system when he was fatally shot.

No witnesses were called to testify before the jury on Tuesday early morning as the two sides argued about whether jurors should be allowed to see an animation, produced by the defense, of the fatal encounter between Zimmerman and the teen.

The prosecution has argued that the animation does not meet the requirements for the standards for admissibility. They highlight that the animation has changed numerous times, and is unreliable.

However, the defense team has said that the animation is completely compatible with testimonies already heard in the trial, as well as testimonies scheduled to be given in the coming days.

"The underlying facts are supported by the evidence," Defense attorney Mark O'Mara has said.

On Monday Zimmerman's defense team won a significant battle to reveal to jurors that Trayvon's toxicology report found a small amount of THC, the active ingredient of marijuana.

Prosecutors had argued that that was a "backdoor" attack on Trayvon's character. However, the Defense team argued that a defense expert will tell jurors that the amount was enough to create "some level of impairment."

The judge ruled in the defense's favor, and could be a significant win for the Defense in some people's eyes.
