A German woman is sentenced to death by Iraq for joining the Islamic State or ISIS. The woman is convicted for aiding the terrorist group and is now waiting for her execution by hanging.

The unnamed woman who is of Moroccan descent left her home in Germany with two of her daughters to ally themselves with the militant group. Upon reaching the group, both of her daughters married ISIS members. The ISIS sympathizer is captured by Iraqi forces last year during the battle for Mosul against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant or ISIL.

A court situated in Baghdad sentenced her to death for "providing logistical support and helping the terrorist group to carry out crimes" according to Supreme Judicial Council spokesman Abdul-Sattar Bayrkdar. The criminal can appeal her sentence according to Bayrkdar.

Bayrkdar added, "The accused admitted during interrogations that she left Germany for Syria then Iraq to join ISIS with her two daughters, who married members of the terrorist organization." There are no further reports about the whereabouts of her daughters.

The German is the first European woman to face the death sentence in Iraq for joining the terrorist group.

In other news concerning ISIS and women being radicalized to join the ruthless terrorist group, a 27-year-old woman was arrested under suspicion of being a jihadi bride according to The Sun. Authorities have arrested the woman who is believed to be the first individual to return to the United Kingdom who gave birth to a baby under the Islamic State in Syria.

The woman flew from Ethiopia to the U.K. where police officers are waiting for her arrival. The woman managed to set bail but is still in the midst of being questioned by police officers. Authorities have not released further information about the woman including her name and if there are any crimes committed by the Islamic State being linked to her.
