"Ghost Recon Wildlands" is about to get more wild with the inclusion of a new ghost which will haunt fictional Bolivia. This new specter will come in the form of the Predator, which the players will be able to hunt, provided it does not hunt them all first.

Ubisoft has announced that the Predator special event runs from today, Dec. 14, up until January next year. The Predator will be mixing things up in the military shooter game and will pose a bigger threat and challenge to players compared to the usual in-game narco henchmen.

As expected, hunting down the Predator will be no easy task as the alien is a lot stronger, bigger, and faster than any human being. On top of that, it also uses futuristic armor complete with a cloaking device, rendering it completely invisible. Luckily, players will be able to tackle it with friends should solo play become too much to bear.

An announcement trailer has also been released by Ubisoft, and it features the Predator doing what it does best, which is to terrorize elite soldiers.

Should they be successful in the hunt, players will be rewarded with the apex hunter's gear, including the famed and iconic Predator mask which not only serves as an aesthetic but also has the Predator-vision function, similar to Nightvision or Thermal-vision goggles in the game. Apart from the reward, a Predator Pack will also be available in the in-game store. It introduces 15 new customization items inspired by the original movie. These will include weapons and gear used by the Predator, as well as a new melee move.

The challenge is full of references to the original Predator movie, and we cannot wait to see the reaction of our players!," enthused Nouredine Abboud, senior producer at Ubisoft.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is available now on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. The Predator Special Event runs until January next year.
