The production for the all-girl "Ghostbusters" reboot is off to a very gooey start. The cast and crew along with director Paul Feig, who first announced it on Twitter, are in Boston for the shooting, although the movie is set in New York. Set photos are already bouncing around online, showing three out of the four phantom-latching lassies on serious ghost slime cleaning business.  

According to Bustle's "script spies," actresses Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig will portray unheard-of writers who publish a book on their ghostly experiences in an effort to prove to the world that spooky creatures exist. This book will be Wiig's character's regret moving forward. 

The two women won't be forever unknowns in the writing world, however, as their specter-tastic book and their knack for the supernatural become a sensation many years later, when the latter becomes an instructor in the prestigious Columbia University. 

In one photo, Wiig has the teacher look as she dons a stern face, an old-fashioned formal get-up and a pair of leather bags. In another photo, McCarthy and Kate McKinnon are shown dashing as fast as they can, presumably after getting a dose of a spooky spectacle. 

The photo shows McCarthy carrying some sort of gizmo that media outlets say may contain a rioting phantom waiting to get out while McKinnon lugs a sizeable backpack with, perhaps, a specter-ensnaring device or a scary surprise. 

Leslie Jones, the fourth and last member of the posse, has yet to be seen in action but with the "Ghostbusters" production on track, more photos and, hopefully, details about the characters will be made available.

Chris Hemsworth, better known as Thor in Marvel's "Avengers," will be in the film as a receptionist. Original ghostbusters Dan Akroyd and Bill Murray are also rumored to make cameo appearances.
