The highly anticipated return of Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) is just right around the corner, and Netflix further added to the excitement by releasing the first official trailer for "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."

It seems like nothing has changed between the relationship of the dynamic mother-and-daughter pair, as proven by the new trailer released one month before the revival special arrives on Netflix.

The trailer opened with the familiar bantering between Lorelai and Rory over Pop-Tarts during breakfast. However, it also appears that the duo's diet never changed over time, as proven by Luke's (Scott Patterson) disappointment when he saw them eating mini-donuts and tacos for dinner.

The new trailer also showed how the women from the Gilmore family will deal with the death of Richard (Edward Herrmann). In one of the scenes, both Lorelai and Rory were shocked to see Emily (Kelly Bishop) have a wall-sized portrait of Richard installed in their house. It seems like the Gilmore matriarch is still having a hard time accepting the fact that her husband is already gone.

Fans of the series will also learn that the overachieving Rory will be unemployed when the "Gilmore Girls" revival returns through the online streaming website. While Lorelai appears to be okay with it, her grandma Emily feels otherwise.

Also, the series revival will shed light on the relationship between Lorelai and Luke. Based on the trailer, the two are still together. Although, it appears that Lorelai is not exactly happy about their relationship at the moment.

Aside from the new trailer, the series also released a new photo on Instagram showing Paris Geller's (Liza Weil) name in front of a door. While the post did not mention how Paris earned the honor of having her name posted in front of an office, speculations claim that she could be the new headmistress of Chilton, the same school where she and Rory studied.

Face it. Her name was destined to be on a door. #GilmoreGirls #AYearintheLife
