With "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" being released on Friday, Nov. 25 on Netflix, excited fans of Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel) are already chomping at the bit to know what happened to the iconic mother and daughter tandem in the time between the ending of the show's original run in 2007 and the continuation of the series.

In a teaser posted by the Gilmore Girls official Instagram account, actress Lauren Graham confirmed that one sentimental prop will still be featured in the show upon its return. According to the star, the chuppah still stands in Lorelai's front yard.

The prop is an iconic part of Gilmore Girls history because it was made by Luke (Scott Gordon-Patterson) for Lorelai as a gift for her impending marriage to Max (Scott Cohen), and he made it for her despite being in love with her because he wanted her to be happy on her wedding day. In the end, Lorelei called off the wedding, but the chuppah remained in her yard. Apparently, it has stayed on the yard since 2007.

Fans remain hopeful for the four episode run of the special since it will be helmed by show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband — executive producer Dan Palladino — who left the show after its final season. The reboot is expected to play out Palladino's original vision for the show's ending and give fans the ending that they all wanted.

Each episode of the show will run for 90 minutes and each episode will take place during the four seasons – winter, spring, summer, and fall, covering a year in the life of Lorelai and Rory.

"Our global licensing of Gilmore Girls around the world - the first seven seasons - enabled us to really get an insight into the idea that this was a real global and current cultural phenomenon," Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos told The Washington Post when they reviewed the performance of show on the streaming site.
