Gilmore Girls Netflix release date: When will our favorite girls launch on Netflix?

We know the big day is lurking just around the corner. But Netflix offered no satisfying official statement, other than a painfully short announcement that the Gilmore Girls Revival would launch later this year, everywhere that Netflix was available.

TV Line confirms that around the end of this month, the main stars of the show will make their much awaited press appearance during Netflix's slot on the Television Critics Association Press Tour. Scheduled for Wednesday, July 27, the press meet will rope in Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai on the show, and Alexis Bledel, who plays Rory.

Their co-star Scott Patterson, the show's creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, and the executive producer Daniel Palladino will also accompany the girls on the press tour. International Business Times speculates that perhaps, during this much awaited press event, we may finally have a definitive date for the big premiere. There are, of course, quickly circulating rumors that point to a date sometime around Thanksgiving.

This time around, the Netflix series will consist of four episodes. Each of them reportedly runs up to 90 minutes. Speculation is also on about whether the four installments will be released in one go, or separately. While fans would obviously love to have them all at once, Amy Sherman-Palladino seems to have other plans. TV Line records her statement on this subject as, "My preference would be they would not be released at once, because I feel like there's going to be anticipation, and I think the diehard fans would enjoy it more with a little separation."

On a final note, it is no secret that the filming for the revival show was recently concluded. In May this year, Scott Patterson, who dons the role of Lorealai's lover Luke Danes, posted a tweet about the last day of the shoot. Naturally, all that remains is to announce when the four-part reboot will go on air.
