"Gilmore Girls" fans will finally get to see Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) again as the mother-daughter duo returns for the Netflix revival of the beloved series next week. Ahead of the premiere of "Gilmore Girls: A Day in the Life," Graham and Bledel previewed what viewers can expect from the four-episode series, while Scott Patterson, who plays Luke, gave his take on the show's final four words.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Graham said that in the revival, everybody will be dealing with the loss of Richard Gilmore (Edward Herrmann) and she thinks that the loss encourages the changes that are about to take place in the lives of Lorelai, Rory, and his widow, Emily (Kelly Bishop).

As for Rory, Bledel says that her character has been working in journalism for the past eight years and that the field changed dramatically since she started.

"She probably had a bit of a rude awakening and had to roll with it," said Bledel. "So she has been chasing stories wherever she can, just staying with friends in different cities in the process."

The actress said that Rory will be coming home to Stars Hollow to go to her grandfather's funeral and to see her mother, who she hasn't seen in a long time. Graham told EW that her character will be "sort of in a midlife crisis" while Emily is pondering how to move on from her loss.

Meanwhile, Patterson spoke with TVLine to talk about the show's final four words. Fans of the series know that show creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino had always intended to end the original series with four words, which will be an exchange between Lorelai and Rory. The actor said that he submitted a list of what he wanted the final four words to be to the show creators, but none of his suggestions were taken up by the duo.

"When I found out what the four words were, I was quite perturbed," Patterson said. "So I made some phone calls and raised the roof a little bit."

He added that he was "a little surprised" when he learned what the ladies' final conversation would be, saying that it was both "clever" and that it "made sense."

"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" premieres Friday, Nov. 25 on Netflix.
