The cast of "Gilmore Girls" cannot help themselves but talk about the show's upcoming reboot, which makes the fans even more excited for the Netflix revival.

On Twitter, lead star Lauren Graham updated the fans about the progress of the show's production. She revealed that they only have 10 days left until they conclude the filming, but revealed that she started taking things from the set as souvenirs.

Since Netflix has yet to reveal the exact release date of the "Gilmore Girls" reboot, Graham's update could possibly serve as a marker of the timeline between the end of the show's filming schedule up to its actual premiere.

Meanwhile, Melissa McCarthy told E! News that she felt a pang of nostalgia when she visited the set of the reboot series for the first time.

"I went back for a set visit and to see all the sets and everybody back in those shoes again—I got really sentimental. It was nice," she said during the Time 100 gala. "I think [fans] are going to be really happy. I think they're going to be thrilled."

McCarthy initially said that she was never asked by the producers of the show to reprise her role as the Sookie St. James, the best friend of Graham's character Lorelai Gilmore. But early this month, the actress-comedienne announced via The Ellen DeGeneres show that she will return to the show.

"There has been something that I have been asked about so, so many times and it hasn't worked out, McCarthy said during the interview. And literally about an hour and half ago we figured out that I'm gonna go back and do it and I am so excited. And they are gonna be amazing."

Netflix is expected to make the announcement about the release date of the "Gilmore Girls" reboot in the coming days.
