Disney Channel is yet to make "Girl Meets World" season 4 official, which is why lead star Rowan Blanchard, who plays Riley Matthews in the series, campaigns for it to happen.

The starlet took to Twitter to explain why the show deserves to get another year and why the "Boy Meets World" spinoff should stay on air.

"So important [for] our [generation] to be a voice of hope/change [and] learn from each other. Hoping we continue to have that chance," she tweeted with the hashtag #GirlMeetsWorldSeason4.

It did not take long for fans to rally around the star by explaining why they think "Girl Meets World" season 4 should happen and how the show has touched their lives with the hashtag #SaveGirlMeetsWorld.

Filming for "Girl Meets World" season 3 was completed back in August, and there are only four episodes left in the current season, but up to now, Disney has yet to give the nod on a new season.

Right after production for the third season wrapped up, Blanchard already expressed her doubts about the show getting renewed for a fourth season.

"I know as much as you guys do... The family that we have created on our set is something I will truly never forget," the actress tweeted out that time.

With Blanchard going to Twitter about the matter, it appears that "Girl Meets World" season 4 might really be in big trouble over at Disney.

Whether or not Blanchard's campaign and the league of fans backing her up will convince Disney to renew the series remains to be seen, but for now, it looks like the network is pulling the plug on the series.

However, it is to be noted that Disney did not announce a third season of the show until Nov. 25 last year, so the season 4 renewal could be on the cards still.

Interestingly, the title of the "Girl Meets World" season 3 finale, which is "Girl Meets Goodbye," on top of Disney's silence, give the impression that cancellation is looming.

"Girl Meets World" season 3 will be back with its Christmas special next month.
