It seemed that the filming for the sixth and final season of "Glee" has been delayed.

Lea Michele, who plays the role of Rachel in the hit TV series, leaked before that season 6 will start filming in July. However, there are new talks that the production of the series will not start later this month as initially planned.

Assistant editor of "Glee", Matthew Smith, hinted the delay in the production as he posted to his Twitter account that he was looking for work. "Whats up twitter industry folks. I'm available for work between July 15th and September 1st. Maybe hire me for something?" he posted on June 30.

"Damn! That's too bad... I just found out today. Thought I was starting way sooner. TV schedules..." he later wrote as a reply to one of his followers.

He later added, "Not sure what is gonna happen. I'm not sure we're doing a full season again this year. Could be off in the winter."

Matthew Smith implied that shooting of the episodes may start in September. Moreover, WetPaint reported that "Glee" will not have a full 22 episodes. There were speculations that season 6 will have 12 to 13 episodes. These both suggested that the premiere of the final season of the hit TV musical series will also be delayed.

Show creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the New Directioners will return to their alma mater, MacKinley High School, where their dreams started and blossomed. The characters will pay homage to their alma mater and will trace back their roots.

Murphy also said that the final season of "Glee" is open to the actors and actresses who have been part of the show. Gleeks are excited for the big reunion slated next season. He revealed that the production team reached out to all of the regulars of the show, which includes the original group of glee club members and teachers, and anyone who wants to come back.

"Glee" season 6 is set to come back at FOX in early 2015.
