American hip hop band Bone Thugs-N-Harmony made a splash during the 90s and the early 2000s with songs such as "The Crossroads" and "Resurrection." Up to now, people are still eager to hear the band sing and see them perform on stage.

During a recent interview with the Huffington Post, band members Krayzie Bone, Wish Bone and Flesh-N-Bone revealed that most of their songs' lyrical content have been inspired by their religious beliefs, and that their connection to God had been developed at a very young age.

"We definitely believe there is a God. We was raised like that. We've always been into that, [and] our parents were. They taught us," Krayzie Bone said.

Even though they are religious, their beliefs never stopped them from tackling tough issues in their songs such as death, drugs, and even racial discrimination.

"We always believe that there was a God and that always had a major effect on the things we write. Yeah, we talk about some things like the streets and everything, but we were always guided by that, knowing it's only to make [it] better, it's only to do better," he explained. "Although we talk about those things that we did on the streets, we always tell both sides—the good side and the bad side. We don't glorify it, we just let people know what we had to do."

Throughout their entire career, the band has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and won one. They were nominated twice for Best Rap Album and once for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group, and they won the latter for "The Crossroads," which they wrote in memory of their good friend and mentor Eazy-E.
