The wait for the fourth installment of "God of War" may still take a while longer, but the details about Sony's upcoming third-person action-adventure video game continue to pour in.

Digital Spy previously revealed that instead of calling the upcoming game "God of War 4" to signify the fourth installment of the Greek mythology-based video game series, the new game will be simply called "God of War." But Sony did not reveal the reason why the name will not change from the original game.

The report also revealed that the plot of the upcoming "God of War" installment will feature Kratos' new adventure as a human. But instead of dealing with the Greek gods, the protagonist of the game will deal with the unfamiliar settings of Norse mythology.

Kratos will not be alone in the upcoming game. Instead, the new "God of War" will also introduce his son. This means that Kratos must do everything to survive while teaching his son the tricks to be able to last in the unforgiving environment.

The game's creative director, Corey Barlog, described the dynamics between Kratos and his son. "This is a guy who can go up against a giant Atlas and not flinch, but the idea of giving his kid a hug scares the hell out of him because he doesn't know how to relate," the creative director stated and added, "He has lost so much of his humanity. What an interesting journey to get that back."

Reports also reveal that Kratos will have different kinds of enemies in the next "Gods of War" game. According to rumors, the new enemies will include large wolves as well as insect-like soldiers that fly across the edge of the screen as players enter Dauthmunni.

Sony has yet to announce when the next "God of War" game will roll out, but the game publisher is expected to reveal the game's release date soon.
