'God of War' gets a new PlayStation 4 Pro Bundle from Sony

Sony has announced a new and upcoming pro bundle for the PlayStation 4 action-adventure video game "God of War." This bundle includes a special edition PS4 pro console with a "God of War" theme, a matching DualShock wireless controller, a physical copy of the game, and bonus digital content. All these cost $400, just a little more than the price of a regular PS4 console unaccompanied by a copy of a game.

"God of War" is set to be released on April 20, according to a new game trailer released by Sony. It seems that Sony is determined to generate as much noise as possible when April 20 comes, having announced that it will also release the PS4 Pro bundle on the same date.

The upcoming PS4 Pro is a limited edition console whose design is inspired by "God of War." The console is silver and gray with yellow details, featuring the runes representing realms in the game. On the top of the console, players can find the same details that adorn the game character Kratos's Leviathan Axe, his primary weapon.

The DualShock wireless controller, meanwhile, comes in silver and gray as well. There is also a rune stamped on the right handle.

However, the PS4 Pro bundle is not the only way that players can get their hands on a copy of "God of War." Sony also announced that it will release the Stone Mason Edition, which will cost $150. A collector's edition will cost $130, while the digital deluxe edition and standard edition will cost $70 and $60, respectively.

All these editions will come out on April 20 as well, though they are also available for pre-orders.

The first "God of War" game came out in 2005, followed by "God of War II" and "God of War III." In 2013, Sony released "God of War: Ascension," the prequel to the preceding installments. This year's "God of War" is the long-awaited sequel to "Ascension." This new installment seems like it will be a refreshing change from the previous ones, which is a good direction to take for a franchise whose story seems to have run its course.
