'God of War' news: Stone Mason Edition revealed bringing a 9" statue of Kratos and son Atreus

Sony Interactive Entertainment or Santa Monica Studio is yet to announce the official release date for upcoming third-person adventure video game "God of War." The developers, however, teased fans by revealing the Collector's Edition of the video game that includes a badass nine-inch statue of Kratos with his son Atreus.

The video game is slated to be launched in early 2018, meaning gamers have to wait a few more months. However, they can already pre-order the "God of War" Stone Mason Edition ahead the launch to increase excitement. GameStop announced the package and it can be purchased for $149.99. Other than the full game, gamers who bought the Stone Mason Edition also get a statue of father-and-son warrior duo Kratos and Atreus. The following items are also include limited steelbook case, exclusive lithograph, cloth map, stone mason's ring, Mimir's head talking keychain, two-inch Huldra brothers carvings, and two-inch horse and troll carvings.

The Collector's Edition also brings additional contents like Defender of the Chosen Shield, Death's Vow Armor Set, Exile's Guardian Shield, Dynamic Theme, God of War Digital Comic #0, and God of War Digital Mini Artbook. Gamers are mostly looking forward to the statue designed by Gentle Giant.

"God of War," which is exclusive for the PlayStation 4, is one of the most-awaited video game releases of 2018. There are reports indicating the title will be released this coming March.

The video game puts Kratos in the territory of the Nordic Gods and stronger monsters. But Kratos is not alone in this adventure as he is accompanied by his son, the skilled archer Atreus. Many are excited for the game's storyline with Atreus coming in. PlayStation already released a few trailers showcasing the game's graphic design and cooperative gameplay. There are no further information from the developers if the game allows Kratos to team up with other characters other than Atreus.
