"God of War" is getting a collector's edition worthy of divinity, as the said version of the game comes with a miniature statue of Kratos, the in-game protagonist and godslayer.

Developer Santa Monica Studio and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment have announced that a special edition for the new "God of War" on the PlayStation 4 (PS4) will soon be available for pre-orders. They have also given players and fans a sneak peek at what the contents will be for the $150 collector's edition.

"God of War" Collector's Edition for the PS4 will include a limited edition steelbook case, an exclusive lithograph for ornamental purposes, a cloth map keeping in them with the Norse setting of the game, a stone mason's ring, Mimir's Head talking keychain, a 2-inch horse and troll miniature carvings, a 2-inch miniature of Huldra brothers carvings, the full game, and of course, a 9-inch Kratos & Atreus Statue by Gentle Giant.

Those are just the physical contents, which are mostly ornamental and are meant to be put on display. There are also digital contents included in the expensive version for the upcoming "God of War."

The digital contents include the Defender of the Chosen Shield, a Death's Vow Armor Set, and an Exile's Guardian Shield. All of these can be accessed in-game and can be equipped with Kratos for added gameplay bonus.

In addition to that, there will also be digital media in the form of "God of War" Digital Comic #0 by Dark Horse, "God of War" Digital Mini Artbook by Dark Horse, and a Dynamic Theme for the PS4. The said digital comic books should fill players in on the details and backstory of this sequel and why Kratos went from killing Greek mythology gods to Norse mythology gods.

"God of War" for the PS4 will be released sometime in 2018 and will be a PS exclusive.
