It has been a while since Sony Interactive Entertainment released new pieces of information about the new "God of War" game, but speculations claimed that the eighth installment of the action-adventure video game series will see a great change, and it is making a buzz online.

Reports claimed that the upcoming "God of War" will deviate from its original story. Instead of the original plot that was based on Greek mythology, the new game will feature the world of Norse mythology. While the game will still feature the return of the series' main protagonist, Kratos, the character will be back together with his son this time.

According to reports, Kratos will serve as his son's mentor and his protector against the new line of monsters and creatures who are out to hurt them. Kratos will also execute his revenge against Ares, the god of war, who betrayed him in the previous installment of the video game series.

Meanwhile, fans of the "God of War" series must expect to miss the mini-games that were featured in the past installments of the series when next installment comes out on the market.

The information came directly from game director Cory Barlog, who answered a question from several fans on Twitter. According to Barlog, they are trying to mix everything up in the new game, which is why the mini-game feature will no longer appear in "God of War 4." The game developer might have wanted to focus all of their efforts on creating an amazing story and more adventures for the main game.

iTechPost also reported that Barlog refuted the claims that the upcoming game will just come out with about 100 hours of gameplay. According to the report, there will be more than a hundred hours of gameplay created for the new "God of War."

At the moment, Sony has yet to announce when the new "God of War" game will come out on the market.
