PS4-exclusive "God of War's" official release dates are still elusive, but already a special collector's edition of the game is available for pre-order at GameStop.

"It is a new beginning for Kratos. Living as a man, outside the shadow of the gods, he seeks solitude in the unfamiliar lands of Norse mythology," read the listing. "With new purpose and his son Atreus at his side, Kratos must fight for survival as powerful forces threaten to disrupt the new life he has created..."

Dubbed as the Stone Mason edition, the special version of the game costs $150—which can be quite daunting to some players. However, the special edition contains exclusive in-game and physical items sure to make any Kratos fan wail in envy, and with all the gear included in the set, the hefty price is reasonable.

The main star of the Stone Mason edition is the nine-inch statue of Kratos and Atreus—both frozen in an epic-demon slaying stance as depicted by Gentle Giant. Other exclusive items in the special include a Mimir's Head Talking Keychain, Two-inch Horse and Troll Carvings, an Exclusive Lithograph, Two-inch Huldra Brothers Carvings, a Cloth Map, a Stone Mason's Ring, and the full "God of War" game enveloped in a cool Steelbook Case.

The Stone Mason edition also features a couple of exclusive digital contents, such as an Exile's Guardian Shield, a Defender of the Chosen Shield, a Death's Vow Armor Set, a Dynamic Theme and the God of War Digital Comic #0 and God of War Digital Mini Artbook all by Dark Horse.

Those who pre-order the limited edition will also get a couple of in-game bonuses such as three DLC shields and XP boost-in-game.

Although "God of War" will be the first game in the franchise outside the Greek Mythology story arc, it's still considered as the sequel to 2010's "God of War III" and the eighth installment in the whole "God of War" series. The upcoming game will see a more intimate storyline between Kratos and his son Atreus.
