Both teams finished top of their respective groups as they advanced to the knockout stage.

USA had some changes in their roster before the quarterfinals inserting midfielders DaMarcus Beasley and Joe Corona with forward Alan Gordon to replace defender Greg Garza and midfielders Jozy Altidore and Alfredo Morales.

In the quarterfinal round, the USA demolished Cuba with a 6-0 drubbing to set a date against Jamaica.

Jamaica do not seem to mind having the underdogs tag for this match though, and they have said that the pressure is all on the United States, where as they have simply continued to surpass expectations.

The Reggae Boyz finished top of Group B, a group expected to be won by Costa Rica, as they advanced to the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinal round, they put in another solid performance with a 1-0 victory over Haiti to reach the semifinals and continue on their dream of reaching the nation's first Gold Cup final appearance.

So far, USA's record against Jamaica is 13-1-8, winning the past three meetings.

The match between the two countries will be played at 6 p.m. EST and will be shown on Fox Sports 1.

In the second semifinals match, Panama looks to repeat a trip to the Gold Cup Final as they did in 2013, but to get there they will have to defeat six-time champions Mexico.

La Marea Roja was unable to win a single game during the group stage but scored enough points to advance to the knockout stages, and they went on to defeat Group C winners Trinidad and Tobago through penalties to reach the semis.

Meanwhile Mexico did not have a spectacular group stage, but they managed to win a massive clash against Costa Rica in the quarterfinals to secure their place in today's semifinals.
