The 71^st Golden Globe Awards will take place tonight from the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel in California.

This year's hosts for the annual awards will be comediennes Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The duo will be back to host the awards show for the second time.

The Golden Globe Awards pre-show will start at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the Awards show at 8 p.m. ET on NBC on Sunday, January 12, 2014. The red-carpet live stream will be available by E!Online and will begin at 5.55 p.m. ET with hosts Catt Sadler and Jesse Giddings. The award show be available to view online via live stream on the Golden Globes website.

The best in film and television will take to the stage to be honored tonight. This year, "American Hustle" and "12 Years a Slave" lead the nominations with seven nods each.

"12 Years a Slave," "Captain Cphilips," "Gravity," "Philomena," and "Rush" have all been nominated for best motion picture drama.

The 71^st Annual Golden Globe Awards is presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and producer dick clark productions.

This year, director Woody Allen will be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for his highly acclaimed work for classics such as "Annie Hall" and "Midnight in Paris."

Theo Kingma, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association stated: "There is no one more worthy of this award than Woody Allen. His contributions to filmmaking have been phenomenal and he truly is an international treasure."

Last year's recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award was Jodie Foster.
