The defending National Basketball Association (NBA) champions are on a roll this season and in their 134–120 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans last Saturday, reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) Stephen Curry shone again.

Curry exploded for 53 points, came close to a double-double with nine assists, also having four rebounds and four steals.

In three games played so far this season, Curry is averaging MVP numbers tallying 39.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per contest.

Helping the 28-year-old in their second win over New Orleans this season was forward Draymond Green who had 21 points, six rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block.

Curry's Splash Brother and backcourt partner Klay Thompson added 19 points, three rebounds, one assist, and one block.

One of Curry's highlights in the game was when he hoisted a 31-foot three-pointer over Pelicans All-Star forward Anthony Davis which went in.

In a report by the Associated Press, Curry said everyone had fun in their win over the Pelicans, adding that he even laughed at himself because of the shot.

The Warriors star also stated, according to the report, "I've always had confidence. You just get better as a player and try to take it to another level. So that's what I'm trying to do this year."

"I'm blessed to be healthy. I'm feeling pretty energetic, pretty strong out there on the floor, playing free, just having fun, so usually good things happen when all that comes together," Curry also expressed.

Meanwhile, for the Pelicans, leading the way was Davis who again had a great game, recording 26 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.

Davis was assisted by point guard Jrue Holiday who tallied 22 points, two rebounds, and six assists.

The Warriors will try to remain undefeated in their next game facing the Memphis Grizzlies today, Monday, while the Pelicans continue the search for their first win this season when they play the Orlando Magic this Tuesday.
