The Golden State Warriors may not have been favored to win the title this season but they are proving doubters wrong as they start the year at 5–0, with their recent success a 112–108 win over the Los Angeles Clippers last Wednesday. 

Golden State showed a total team effort in the win with all five starters scoring in double-digits, but leading the pack is reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) Stephen Curry. 

Curry tallied 31 points and again came up with big shots to seal the win for the Dubs, who played their second game of a three-game home stand against the Clippers. 

It was also a huge win for the Warriors since the two teams entered the game both undefeated and are starting to build a competitive rivalry in the tough Western Conference. 

Following Curry is forward Harrison Barnes who came close to a double-double as he scored 17 points; grabbed nine boards; and also dished out three assists and one block. 

Completing the double-digit scoring against Los Angeles were guard Klay Thompson, center Festus Ezeli, and forward Draymond Green who scored 16, 12, and 10 points, respectively. 

Despite the victory, the Clippers were the first true test the Warriors had this 2015–16 season. 

Golden State had control in the first half but it was a different story in the third quarter as Lob City rallied and got the lead despite All-Star playmaker Chris Paul sitting on the bench due to foul trouble. 

The Clippers continued to have the advantage early in the final frame and showed that they can be the first team to beat the Warriors, but the home squad staged a comeback which was capped off by a three-pointer from Curry with over a minute left. 

Now, Golden State will again put its streak on the line when it plays the last game of the home stand against the Denver Nuggets today, Friday.
