The defending champions Golden State Warriors are still on track of breaking the record of the 1995–96 Chicago Bulls and continue to go after the feat when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center today, Saturday.

Golden State heads to the matchup versus Lob City coming off only their fifth loss this season as they fell to the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center last Friday, 137–105.

Leading the charge for the Warriors in the defeat was reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) point guard Stephen Curry who tallied 31 points, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Following Curry was his Splash Brother Klay Thompson who had 23 points, three rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Another bright spot for the Dubs against Portland was forward Draymond Green who had 14 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.

Despite the defeat that ended an 11-game winning streak, the Warriors are still the best team in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Western Conference with a 48–5 record.

Meanwhile the Clippers, who continue playing without injured star forward Blake Griffin, are going to today's game with momentum after a dominant performance versus the San Antonio Spurs Thursday (105–86).

The Spurs are the second-best team in the NBA and the West with a 46–9 record, while the Clippers improved to 36–18 and are fourth in the conference.

All-Star point guard Chris Paul lit up the Spurs with an overall performance recording 28 points, five rebounds, 12 assists, one steal, and even a block.

Two-time Sixth Man of the Year guard Jamal Crawford aided Paul with his 19 points, two rebounds, and six assists.

Starters J.J. Redick and veteran forward Paul Pierce added 17 and 12 points respectively in the victory.

The collision of these Western Conference contenders, the Warriors and Clippers, takes place today, Feb. 20, at 8:30 p.m. EST. To watch via live stream, click here
