Two thriving teams in the Western Conference collide Saturday night when the defending National Basketball Association (NBA) champions Golden State Warriors pay the Sacramento Kings a visit at the Sleep Train Arena.

The Warriors are on a roll riding a five game winning streak heading to Saturday's matchup, with their most recent success a 128-108 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Leading the charge in the win were the Splash Brothers as Klay Thompson tallied 36 points with Stephen Curry adding 26, they also combined for 14 assists.

Forward Brandon Rush scored 20 points, while all-around contributor Draymond Green recorded his eighth triple-double of the season listing 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.

The win over the Blazers gave the Warriors a 34-2 record to continue their stay on top of the Western Conference standings and the NBA.

Golden State's only concern against the Kings will be Curry who has been dealing with a shin injury that in the past few weeks was aggravated a number of times.

But with Curry dropping 26 against the Blazers, it looks like the reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) will do fine until the injury heals.

Meanwhile, the Kings who struggled mightily with consistency early in the season have won three of their last four games and are starting to knock in to the top eight of the Western Conference standings.

The Kings are coming off a close 118-115 win over the Los Angeles Lakers and the game versus Golden State is the second of a three-game home stand against Western Conference teams.

In the victory over Los Angeles, All-Star big man DeMarcus Cousins led the way for Sacramento with 29 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and one steal.

Forwards Rudy Gay and Quincy Acy each scored 18 points for the Kings, while guard Ben McLemore, center Kosta Koufos, and guard Marco Belinelli added 16, 14, and 11 points respectively.

The Kings are now ninth in the West with a 15-21 record and will try to score an upset over the Warriors.
