'The Good Wife' season 7 spoilers: Will it be Alicia vs Cary?

With Kalinda's exit and Finn's screen time lessened, it's difficult to figure out what the future has in store for Alicia in "The Good Wife" season 7. But with the former state attorney axed from her own law firm, there are speculations that she will make more enemies, one of which is her former ally, Cary.

"I think what could be interesting is if they're on opposite sides, but they're in a different place in terms of their connection," Matt Czuchry, who plays Cary, told E! Online. "They are friends and I think there's a mutual respect there, so if they are against each other but have that friendship at the same time, those gray areas, to be able to play that, would be interesting."

It seems like pitting Cary against Alicia is, indeed, a very interesting direction to take. Add to that the pain of Kalinda's unexpected departure.

"Cary and Kalinda have had a strong friendship over 100-plus episodes, so that lack of closure is going to come into play in Season 7," Czuchry said to Huffington Post, broaching the possibility of Cary finding another woman to love.

"It would be interesting to see Cary with somebody else," he continued. "Oftentimes we jump in relationships too soon after getting out of them, and it'd be interesting to see him to muddle through another relationship because he didn't get closure with Kalinda."

It remains to be seen whether or not Alicia will be busy dueling with Cary. It will surely be exciting, considering that the two are familiar with each other, off and on court.

"The Good Wife" season 7 will premiere this fall.

Eating - and eating together - is never a side note in the biblical story. It is one of the ways God forms community, renews covenant, and reveals Himself.
