More people will now be able to see the world through the lenses of a Google Glass.

The company announced on Thursday, that their 'wearable computer,' will be made available to anyone in the U.S. for a limited time on April 15. This opportunity comes as a surprise to those who hope to become a 'Glass Explorer.'

The pair will come with a free frame or shade. Those interested in getting into the program can sign up here.

Google's recent decision may be a sign that the company is making its way into the consumer market.

Within the past year, the company has increased their Glass Explorer invitations, making the product less exclusive.

In December for example, some Google Play Music All Access subscribers, were able to purchase the Google Glass.

Through the #ifihadglass hashtag, people who were interested in becoming an Explorer were encouraged to share what they would do if they owned a pair. The feedback prompted Google to expand the Explorer program.

In an announcement on Thursday, the Google Glass team stated, "Any adult in the U.S. can become an Explorer by visiting our site and purchasing Glass for $1500 + tax – and it now comes with your favorite shade or frame. Thanks to feedback from our current Explorers."

The Glass Explorer program will be open next Tuesday, April 15, beginning at 6 a.m. PT. There is still no word on how long the opportunity will be available for.
