The annual Google I/O developer conference has been announced. The search giant mentioned in its official events website that the annual Google I/O event will happen from May 28 to 29.

The yearly conference is Google's typical venue for announcing the latest services and tools meant for software developers. On their end, the developers also express their appreciation for the company's products during their allocated inspirational talks.

The event will begin with a registration period starting on March 17 up to March 19, where registrants can get a chance to win a ticket for the event by lottery. This is a new method introduced by Google as the tickets for last year's Google I/O event was sold out less than an hour after the tech giant announced its schedule.

According to the website, "Applicants will be selected at random to receive the opportunity to purchase one ticket. The order in which applications are received has no bearing on the outcome and remember, only one registration application per person is allowed."

Aside from the seats that will be raffled off after the registration, Google will also provide limited seats for qualified media personalities and several reserved seats for the company's special guests.

One of the expected announcements in the upcoming Google I/O event this year is information about Project ARA, the modular-designed smartphone that is believed to be groundbreaking news for the smartphone industry.

Another expected news is the possible mention of Android's next installment, the Android M. Last year's I/O event was the launch pad for Android Lollipop.

The Android Wear is also believed to be one of the topics to be discussed in Google's upcoming event. Currently, the latest Android Wear platform is working properly in the market, although the company is expected to continuously improve the wearable platform.

To register, interested parties should have a Google account in order to fill up the application form. Those who will not win the ticket lottery can have the chance to watch the event live via streaming during the conference.
