The price and lagged release of Google Nexus 6 tend to discourage some buyers in purchasing the new Nexus smartphone.

Currently, one complaint about the new Google Nexus 6 is its steep price. The recently-released Nexus smartphone costs $300 more than the price of its predecessor, the Google-LG Nexus 5. The $300-jump in the pricing shocked a lot of waiting Google fans and some of them are upset with the high price tag.

Some consumers are even annoyed with what they claim is an absurd price for a Nexus device. These consumers took their frustration out to various social media and flooded the networks with complaints.

Nexus devices have been the "turn-to" gadgets because they offer fair specs and features that are at par with other flagship smartphones. Previous Nexus smartphones boasted price tags below $400 mark. Now, the latest Nexus 6 costs $649.

The higher price is reported to be brought about by the demand of Android users who have been looking for something more premium. Google did not disappoint its waiting fans and packed a number of upgrades in the smartphone like the huge 5.96-inch display with QHD resolution, 3 GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage option.

Meanwhile, other buyers are upset with the slight delay in the release of the new smartphone. In the past, Google silently slipped the device in the Play Store where consumers could start buying from the stocks of the device. This year, the Nexus 6 will be available a month after its announcement, which has increased the anticipation of some waiting fans.

Other than the above specs, the Google Nexus 6 also boasts a 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 processor and runs with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. It's available in 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants and sports a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, and a 3220 mAh battery.

The Google Nexus 6 will be available in all major U.S. carriers Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and AT&T with preorders starting on Oct. 29 with an estimated delivery date in early November.
